Resistance Against Disbelievers: Upholding Faith and Integrity

سُورَةُ القَلَمِ
Al-Qalam (The Pen)
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
9 ayahs
فَلَا تُطِعِ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Then do not obey the deniers.
وَدُّوا۟ لَوْ تُدْهِنُ فَيُدْهِنُونَ
They wish that you would soften [in your position], so they would soften [toward you].
وَلَا تُطِعْ كُلَّ حَلَّافٍۢ مَّهِينٍ
And do not obey every worthless habitual swearer
هَمَّازٍۢ مَّشَّآءٍۭ بِنَمِيمٍۢ
[And] scorner, going about with malicious gossip -
مَّنَّاعٍۢ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ
A preventer of good, transgressing and sinful,
عُتُلٍّۭ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ زَنِيمٍ
Cruel, moreover, and an illegitimate pretender.
أَن كَانَ ذَا مَالٍۢ وَبَنِينَ
Because he is a possessor of wealth and children,
إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples."
سَنَسِمُهُۥ عَلَى ٱلْخُرْطُومِ
We will brand him upon the snout.

Narrated by Abd al-Rahman b. Samura reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

Narrated by Ibn 'Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:
Sunan Ibn Majah#1943

"Beware of swearing oaths when selling, for it may help you to make a sale but it destroys the blessing."'

Narrated by It was narrated from Abu Qatadah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), said:
Sahih Muslim#4396

Show leniency; do not be hard; give solace and do not create aversion.

Narrated by The Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him) has been reported by Anas b. Malik to have said:

Swearing produces a ready sale for a commodity, but blots out the blessing.

Narrated by Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) said he heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

" I think that he (the narrator) said: The man is a custodian of the wealth of his father, and he would be answerable for what is in his custody."

Narrated by This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Ibn 'Umar, but there is (a slight change of wording) in the hadith transmitted through Zuhri that he said:

Do not sit which those who believe in free will and do not address them before they address you.
